When no one can fix Shirks is the place to go. Have used Shirks repair service even though a 35 mile trip each way.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
I bought a new mountain bike at Shirks this morning! What a great place! The selection of bikes is almost overwhelming. The customer service was outstanding, thank you Louis! I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
Needed a derailleur for a bike, they had it in stock for half the price of other local bike shops. The guy working in the store was excellent in every way. Suggested some other problem areas that might be causing my derailleur problems and told me that they would check the bike out if I could'nt get it fixed. Just a super nice guy to deal with. Store has a great selection of bikes and accessories at very good prices. Great country location...They surely have my bike business in the future...Great to find a local country shop with such a great selection and superb customer service...Great job Shirk's.....Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
This is the greatest bike shop that has ever existed. At Shirks, you will find friendly people, excellent service and fantastic prices. They will be able to work on literally any bike ever made. I have had them work on everything from a found in the trash 1970's French ten speed to multi-thousand dollar mountain bikes, and they've been able to solve every problem that has come along. In the off chance a repair doesn't go so well, they will go the extra mile and then some to make sure you are happy. That '70's French bike gave them a headache with the crankset... they swapped the old junk cottered cranks out for a square tapered setup for just about free because I had to come back with it after replacing a cotter pin didn't work so well. I was expecting a big bill, what I got was anything but. I have yet to purchase a bike from them, as I often get my bikes from Craigslist or otherwise used, but if I were to buy a new bike, it would be from them. I brought in a friend to get a bike for himself and his wife, they left spending far less than they expected to with far better bikes than they expected to. The sales people were not pushy, told things "as they are" instead of feeding you a pitchy line of garbage, and generally impressed the daylights out of me and my friends. Also, if you are in a financial bind, and are OK with used parts, they often can take care of whatever you need with their used parts bin. I got a longer seatpost for one of my mountain bikes for $5! All because it was used and had a scratch or two... hello, it's going on a MOUNTAIN bike, I couldn't possibly care less about a scratch!
I cannot stress it enough, everyone who could ever get to this shop needs to go and experience what it is like to be at a real bike shop, and not just a store with bikes in it.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
These are honest hardworking folks that were willing to work with me and help me find exactly what I needed. In the end I left with the bike I wanted and at an excellent price. Very few companies value customer service the way these guys do. A little out of the way, but worth every bit of the drive. I will buy all my future bikes and biking accessories here.‎Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
We've been customers of Shirks for 12 years. There is no other place like it! I couldn't decide on which bike (hybrid or comfort) to purchase recently...they let me take both home to try on different surfaces. (Seriously...what other stores allow you to leave premises w/ expensive merchandise to 'try out'??!) I chose neither, but it gave me a good idea of what I needed. They didn't have it in stock, but ordered it and had it assembled and ready for me in 1 day! They KNOW bikes, are very reasonably priced and offer great service. Don't waste your time going anywhere else...they're the best!

Shirks has to be experienced to be believed. It is a slice of pure Americana. The repair and tuning to my bike has been excellent. The price is always fair and the people are just plain down honest and hardworking. I bought my 1st bike there 6 years ago. I wanted a specific model which they had in a box. They built it up while i waited. (I didn't want to drive back out there because it is so far from my house.) Unbelievable. I do call ahead for a tuning appointment now because they are so busy. My next bike will come from Shirks. Yours should too.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
Rob was our sales person and he was great. We didn't know much about the different brands and he was very helpful, almost going out of his way to help us. We didn't feel rushed and he took his time to find the right bike for what we wanted and our body types.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
Take it from a former employee, this place is fantastic. The only downside is that if it's still like it was 10+ years ago when I worked there, they should have a tip/donation jar, because there's a good chance they're losing money on what they're selling you!Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
I've been going to Shirks for at least 6 years and the experience is always great. I'm an amputee and they always solve my special needs.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
You are going to feel like a valued customer when you go to this shop. I needed a commuter bike and found an almost new Redline Conquest in the attic and I love the bike (Cyclocross). Since the bike was used, the salesman encouraged me to ride around the farm with it. Very friendly atmophere, kids were occupied with the dog. A little hard to find, had to ask for directions from a few people with bikes.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
We have bought 5 bikes from Shirk's and have been pleased all around. We still have these bikes and will buy more bikes there. Great customer service and well worth the hour drive I have to get there.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice

If they don't have it,you do't need it.
It is amazing what you can find in this shop if you look around long enough. The only downfall is it's location.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePriceProduct SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
If you want flashy, megastore, elitist atmosphere this ain't the place. If you want the real deal with knowledgeable, real bike people that can do the work you need, this is the place. The bonus is bike and accessories choices plus good prices.Product SelectionService and RepairCustomer ServicePrice
I made a trip into this shop looking for my first pair of clip shoes/pedals. The help I received was second to none. I've been to 3 other cycles shop looking for the same, and this was by far the best experience, advise, and pricing I found.
I'll be back !!!!!
