I have always had a good experience their, the owner is always around, answering questions, knowledgeable staff, still way better than Village or Kentwood, the staff will actually work with you on prices and offer good used products, they have way more in stock the the other places in town which have to order everything, I could just do that myself.

I called to get the price and availability on a shifter. When he was checking on the price he made a very rude comment, that he thought I could not hear, to someone else. If that is their attitude there are plenty of other shops to buy from.

I have always had a good experience at Alger Schwinn. The employees are helpful, and have a good knowledge of local trails

I ordered a crank from Alger and was told it would be in within a week. I called back a week later and was told it would be another week. After that, I never heard from them. Thank goodness I didn't pay up front. I lost two weeks of riding because I thought I had a part on the way. Never again.

It took three calls just to place an order. Wanted to complain to the owner but apparently the owner was the one taking the calls and then forgetting to call us back. We were told the bikes would be ready by Thursday but then the owner left town and didn't tell his staff that the bikes needed to be built so when we arrived for pickup, they weren't ready. We waited hours! Then, the bikes were built incorrectly causing damage to parts that then needed to be replaced. It took 3 weeks for the staff to get the parts!!! They never called us when the parts came in. The technician in charge of ordering and phoning us left on vacation! Never ever again will we shop at this store. They're customer service is as bad as it gets. I recommend you steer clear of this chaos shop.

Better than Village Bike Shop, but that is not saying much. Much better than Kentwood Schwinn, but everyone is better than Kentwood Schwinn. If you want a Schwinn, have to have a Schwinn, than this is the place to get one.
